Job Description
Stitcher
Temp to Perm
1st SHIFT (8:00am-4:30pm) Monday through Friday
SUMMARY:
As a Stitcher on our Domestic Development team, you must possess fine motor skills and attention to detail. Your primary focus is stitching; however you must also be proficient in using other relevant equipment including NC cutting machines, computer stitchers and others as needed. Training for these modern manufacturing tools will be provided. You will work with pattern engineers and designers to refine patterns for manufacturing. Your major responsibility is to create the highest quality footwear samples for design, development, and client review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Strong, efficient skill with industrial sewing machines.
- Cutting, gluing, and stitching provided footwear patterns.
- Responsible for providing highest quality product.
- Basic knowledge of the mechanics of stitching equipment, including replacing and changing out thread, needles and bobbin thread as needed.
- Can identify errors, high attention to detail.
- Capable of using relevant software as needed.
- Completes work efficiently and accurately.
- Supports the team effort.
- Ability to respond and follow through with detailed instruction.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures, and abides by all safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Prior experience in stitching and sewing.
- Prior knowledge of, and ability to use, industrial sewing machines is preferred, but not necessary as training will occur.
- Hardworking and self-motivated, with an eagerness to learn and a Can-Do attitude.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn relevant software.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, highly accurate production facility.
- Effectively communicates with the team members and management.
- Able to work in a team environment.
Environmental Conditions:
The majority of the time would be spent in the facility areas will be moderate temperatures.
Physical Capabilities:
The majority of the time would be spent in the facility areas will be moderate temperatures. Frequently required to stand for long periods of time, walk, stretching, twisting, bending, handling equipment and lift items up to 30 pounds.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 (Depending on Experience)
