Title: Spot Welder 
 
Type of Placement: Temp-Perm 
 
Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with possible overtime 
 
Pay/Pay Range: $20.00-$24.00 hourly

Summary:  
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spot Welder to join our production team. The Spot Welder will be responsible for operating spot-welding equipment to join metal parts according to 
specifications, ensuring strong welds, high-quality workmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
  • Operate spot welding machines to weld metal accurately and efficiently
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust controls for proper welding conditions
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure strength, alignment, and quality standards
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Previous experience as a spot welder 
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and safety practices
  • Ability to read measurements and technical drawings
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Environmental Conditions: 
Work is performed in a metal fabrication shop with exposure to heat, sparks, and bright welding arcs. Loud noise from machinery and welding processes is common. Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.
Physical Capabilities:
Standing for long periods while operating welding equipment. Using hands and arms to position, hold, and weld metal parts accurately. Lifting and moving metal components as needed (usually moderate weight). Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise weld placement. Ability to focus and maintain stamina during repetitive tasks.
