Material Handler
Temp to Perm
1st SHIFT (8:00am-6:00pm) Monday through Thursday *Schedule Change After Labor Day*
SUMMARY:
As the Material Handler, you’ll have an important role on our team, helping us to ensure our customer’s product is handled and treated correctly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Transport materials, supplies and finished products to designated locations through the facility as well as being responsible for receiving products.
- Visually inspecting products for any damage as well as verifying quantity and expiration dates of products.
- Responsible for pulling all products needed on our production lines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 1-year’s warehouse experience required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be forklift certified or have experience operating a variety of lifts. Company will license candidates on their fleet of equipment.
- Prior warehouse experience.
- Reliable attendance.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Attentive to detail and a safe operator.
Environmental Conditions:
The majority of the time would be spent in the facility areas will be moderate temperatures.
Physical Capabilities:
The majority of the time would be spent in the facility areas will be moderate temperatures. Frequently required to stand for long periods of time, walk, stretching, twisting, bending, handling equipment and lift items up to 50 pounds.
