Job Description
Job title: Forklift Operator
Pay: $19.00
Are you a reliable, safety-conscious individual looking to join a fast-paced team in a key distribution role? We are seeking a Forklift Operator to support our distribution operations and ensure timely movement and rotation of inventory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pick items from the freezer
- Follow method and proper inventory rotation
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack safely and efficiently
- Sort and stack trays
- Remove debris
- Separate broken pallets and place in designated areas
- Maintain organization and cleanliness
- Monitor and report changes or unsafe working conditions
- Perform quick inventory checks and report any shortages
- Assist in picking and preparing orders
- Follow all established workplace safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience a plus
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Must be organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Licenses & Certifications:
- Forklift license required
Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Member of the Safety Team
- Must adhere to all Distribution GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling
- Lifting up to 50 lbs (often overhead)
- Constant standing and walking
- Working in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations:
- Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels
