Job Description

Title: CNC Machinist/Programmer
Type of Placement: Direct Hire 
Shift: 1st Shift: 8hour shift Monday-Friday
Pay/Pay Range: $30.00-$45.00hrly 
 
About Our Customer:
Well-established machine shop looking to fill programing/set-up position in our Milling department. The company manufactures high-quality, close tolerance parts for a wide range of industries
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Efficiently operate CNC milling machines in a fast-paced manufacturing shop environment to meet the customer needs. Completion of documentation (job travelers, operator check sheets, inspection reports, etc.).
  • Ensure proper inspection of first piece and in-processes inspection are performed and adjusted as required.
  • Assist other employees when needed to achieve company manufacturing goals.
  • You must be able to work with minimal supervision but know when to ask for assistance.
  • Good communication skills and working as a team are a must
  • Ideal candidates may have previously worked as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, CNC Mill Machinist. 
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to read and understand prints
  • Must be able to utilize various measuring tools
  • 3 years’ experience in an operator position with CNC Vertical 3-Axis milling centers
  • 5 years’ experience in a setup/programmer position with a CNC 3-Axis milling centers
  • Use Mastercam software

Environmental Conditions:
The work environment is fast paced and fast moving. 
 
Physical Capabilities:
Frequently required to perform actions stooping, bending, balancing, grasping, standing, sitting, walking, opening, removing, sorting, moving, and handling of objects up to 50lbs.
