Job Description

Mechanical Assembler    
 
Temp-Perm
1st Shift - 7:00am-4:30pm Mon – Thurs and 7am-12pm Friday
 
 
SUMMARY:  Primary responsibilities of this associate will be to manually assemble our measuring apparatuses.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
  • Operate proprietary production machinery. 
  • Inspect, measure, and cut material to prescribed lengths.
  • De-burr and clean material.
  • Assemble products and prepare for shipping.
  • Assist other departments as needed and time allows.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to communicate, read, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and comprehend both standard and metric measurements.
 
Job Requirements:
  • 1 Year of mechanical assembly or manufacturing
  • Ability to read, write and converse in English. 
  • Comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be detailed, organized, and able to follow procedures.
  • Must be comfortable on your feet and walking most of the day.
 
Environmental Conditions:
The environment is temperature controlled. Lifting of items up to 25 to 60lbs pounds on occasion may be required.
 
Physical Capabilities:
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit with repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting.  
Qualified Applicants may be subject to pre-employment drug and background screening.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 
Pay:  $20.00 per hour.
